ABMES Journalism Award (Brazil)

Deadline: 21 June 2024

The Brazilian Association of Higher Education Supporters (ABMES) has announced applications for ABMES Journalism Award to encourage the creation of reports and articles that address higher education in Brazil.

Founded in August 1982, the Brazilian Association of Higher Education Supporters (ABMES) represents entities that support private higher education throughout the national territory with the aim of engaging them in the most diverse instances and acting in the effective consolidation of their peers.

Objectives

  • The ABMES Journalism Award aims to encourage the creation of reports and articles that address higher education in Brazil.
  • The growth and improvement of specialized journalistic coverage helps to contribute to the search for permanent improvement and development of the country, generating social, political, economic and cultural benefits for all regions.
  • The initiative also intends for the participating works to serve as a stimulus for an in-depth discussion of social programs and public policies linked to the sector.
  • By debating these programs, which find fundamental partnerships in private institutions, ABMES reinforces the importance and social role of its members.
