Brazilian Psychiatric Association (ABP) has announced submissions for the Journalism Award to recognize and reward journalistic works that aims to demystify various aspects involving mental disorders and the stigma that weighs on the psychiatry and all matters related to the specialty and its patients.
During its implementation, the Award has already evaluated more than a thousand articles related to Psychiatry topics such as the use of psychoactive substances, suicide prevention, impacts of the economic crisis on mental health, among others. Journalists from different states in Brazil have already participated in the editions, sending their work for evaluation.
National journalistic productions that are broadcast on platforms based in Brazil and within the following categories can compete for the award: print, online, radio, television, channel and influencer.
Award Information
- In 2024, ABP will hold the ninth edition of the ABP Journalism Award and the winning works in each category will be awarded R$7,000. The award ceremony will take place during the Opening Ceremony of the XLI Brazilian Congress of Psychiatry – CBP on October 23, 2024, in BrasĂlia.
