The CFA Journalism Award is an initiative of the CFA Society Portugal, which aims to promote the quality of economic and financial information disseminated on all media platforms.
The journalist author of the article or report that, by virtue of its relevance, clarity or content, has contributed the most to:
- explain and disseminate the relevance and importance of investment professionals to Portuguese society;
- expand or consolidate financial literacy in Portugal, or whose contribution to ethics in the world of investments and financial markets is the most relevant;
- promote ethics in the world of investments and financial markets.
Prize Information
- The author of the highest-rated article will receive a cash prize worth from €2,000.
Evaluation Criteria
- Articles accepted for registration will be evaluated according to the following parameters:
- Educational content
- Relevance
- Clarity
- Factual evidence
- Focus on the role of ethics in finance
Application Requirements
- Applications will only be considered if the following information is sent:
- In the event the article is written, a copy of the article on file with the PDF format and with the identification of the author(s);
- If the article/report is in audio or visual file format MP4;
- Indication of the full name of the journalist who wrote the article;
- Indication of the media outlet that published the article;
- Indication of the date of publication;
- Copy of the journalist’s professional card;
- Indication of the journalist’s email and cell phone;
- The article cannot exceed 10,000 characters, including spaces. This rule is only applicable to articles in PDF format;
- The article cannot last longer than 6 minutes. This rule is just applicable to items in MP4 format;
- Each author cannot submit more than two articles for competition. If more than two are sent, the acceptance criterion is first come, first served.
- CFA Society Portugal reserves the right not to accept any article into the competition that does not meet the conditions mentioned in the previous points.
