Deadline: 19 July 2024
The Country Racing Victoria are calling for submissions for the SEN Jack Styring Media Award to recognises journalism that best captures the spirit of Victorian country racing during the past racing season.
They hope, in this small way, to encourage and further horse racing’s rich tradition of storytelling in Victoria. Judges will shortlist up to three entries, with shortlisted journalists invited to the Country Racing Victoria Awards Night on Saturday 24 August 2024, where the winner will be announced.
The Jack Styring Country Racing Victoria Media Award is named in honor of Country Racing legend Jack Styring and his services to Country Racing Victoria. A race caller and media identity, Styring is a huge supporter of country racing, and his voice was synonymous with many country racecourses for more than six decades.
