The Chamber of Commerce of Umbria has announced the 15th edition of the International Journalism Award “Raccontami l’Umbria – Stories on Umbria”.
The competition is reserved to those articles dealing with the region’s artistic-cultural-environmental points of excellence and the high quality economic-productive system, bringing the national and international focus on Umbria and its territory and contributing to valorising the best of Umbrian business production.
Categories
- Tourism, Environment and Culture: Photo-journalistic articles published in daily or periodic national and international newspapers and magazines, including on-line ones between 1st January 2024 and 8th February 2025 mainly dealing with the tourist, landscape, environmental and cultural heritage of Umbria;
- Umbria of Taste: Photo-journalistic articles published in daily or periodic national and international newspapers and magazines, including on-line ones between 1st January 2024 and 8th February 2025 mainly dealing with the typical and high quality food and wine production of Umbria;
- Video (large productions): audio-visual reports aired between 1st January 2024 and 8th February 2025 on national or satellite television channels.
- Video (independent productions): audio-visual reports, made also by individual authors, aired between 1st January 2024 and 8th February 2025 on online channels (such as blogs, YouTube or similar platforms).
- The Schools of Journalism Award has also been established, reserved for video reports made by students of Italian Schools of Journalism recognized by the National Council of the Order of Journalists, aired between 1st January 2024 and 8th February 2025 on national or satellite television or internet channels.
- The Umbria High School Award has also been established, reserved for texts written in journalistic style, also accompanied by photos, created specifically for the competition by students attending the last three years of Umbria High Schools.

Evaluation Criteria
- The Committee will evaluate the candidates according to these general criteria:
- Originality of the themes proposed;
- Breadth of information given;
- The ability to unite the themes of territory and business, with particular focus on the best business productions of the Umbrian region.
Application Requirements
- The entrant will be asked to attach:
- Copy of the article (pdf or clear image file) or video (mp4 or downloadable link);
- Front back ID copy;
- Entrant’s short biography or curriculum vitae.
- Any article or audio-visual report that has not been signed will be attributed to the editor of the newspaper or channel that published/aired the piece in question.
