Submissions open for NGIN Photo Competition 2023

This summer, submit your photo to enter the NGIN Photo Competition and drive the conversation about agriculture and how it contributes with a host of solutions to accelerate climate action!

Whether you are a NextGen agriculture leader with a passion for photography or simply an enthusiastic young person with a great shot matching the theme.

NGIN gives young changemakers a voice, a vote, and a role in an ecosystem for impact. But this time NGIN want to bring your concerns to life through the 2nd NGIN Photo Competition. This year the main aim is to show how young people feel and see is part of the solutions to accelerate climate action in agriculture.

Theme

  • “Youth in Agriculture: Part of the Solutions to Climate Change”
    • The NGIN Photo Competition 2023 rewards outstanding single images on the topic of “Youth in Agriculture – Part of the Solutions to Climate Change”.
    • This contest is the opportunity to explore, create and inspire others about the different ways to contribute to a more sustainable and innovative future in agriculture and how young changemakers are taking action against climate change.

Prize Information

  • The three winning photographies will be selected by the NGIN jury, and their authors will receive a cash prize.
  • The top three winning pictures will be exhibited in the framework of the World Food Forum flagship event in Rome, October 2023. This allows young winners to promote their work and gain global visibility. It also helps to recognize their talent, effort, and work in agriculture. Additionally, three winners that have been selected by the community out of a shortlist of runner up pictures during the WFF will receive a cash prize.
  • Prizes for NGIN Photo Competition winners – selected by the NGIN jury:
    • 1st Prize: 1.000 Euro
    • 2nd Prize: 500 Euro
    • 3rd Prize 200 Euro
  • Community’s Favorites:
    • 3 Prizes of 100 Euro each.

Who can apply?

  • Youth around the globe who are between the ages 15 and 29 years.

Requirements

  • Landscape image orientation.
  • JPEG. Format.
  • Maximum size of 10 MB.
  • The original version should be 3000 x 2000 px (minimum 300 dpi).
  • Taken by the person who is applying to the contest.
  • Ensure to capture young people in your photo.
  • Remember that only 1 photo could be submitted to the forms.

Unacceptable Content

  • NGIN reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry:
    • That reflects adversely on NGIN or any of its Board members or partners and is incompatible with the vision, mission, principles and objectives of NGIN.
    • That contains nudity, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, profane or any other inappropriate content.
    • Photos that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
    • Photos that have been entered in other (photo-) competitions already or have previously been published.
