The VH Award supports emerging media artists who engage with the context of Asia through an online residency program and exhibitions of commissioned works across various global platforms.
Initiated in 2016, the VH AWARD has been discovering and cultivating promising artists to share their artistic experiments and amplify their voices on diverse issues. The award encourages artists who push the boundaries of audiovisual artworks to reflect on how they understand themselves and one another in relation to the past, present and future.

- A grant of $25,000(USD) will be awarded to each finalist to support the creation of their work.

- Grand Prix Award
- The Grand Prix recipient will be awarded to one individual or collective, accompanied by an additional grant of $25,000(USD), recognizing exceptional artistic achievement.

Eligibility Criteria
- Artists from the Asian region, as well as individuals or collectives of Asian descent and diasporas from all over the world.
Requirements
- All documents must be submitted in English.
- The passwords for all submitted video links should be the same and shared upon submission.
- Video Self-Introduction & Portfolio Film
- A video that recaps the applicant’s practice of works along with a brief self-introduction, up to 3 minutes.
- Submit via Vimeo or YouTube link with passwords.
- If not in English, English subtitles are required.
- PDF CURRICULUM VITAE & ARTIST STATEMENT
- Up to 3 pages, font size 11pt, submitted as a PDF file.
- Video + Pdf New Artwork Proposal
- A proposal for original artwork that have not been submitted to other competitions or awards, nor have been presented in any exhibitions or events.
- A reference video about the new artwork within 1 minute, submit via Vimeo or YouTube link with passwords.
- Proposal documents up to 3 pages, font size 11pt, submitted as a PDF file.
- Participants should note that the following conditions could result in disqualification and withdrawal of any prizes awarded, with all associated legal responsibilities resting solely with the participant:
- Submission of any documents containing inaccuracies or falsehood.
- Infringement upon the copyrights or intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Submission of materials that cannot undergo proper verification.
