Deadline: 28 February 2025
Nominations are now open for the Wincott Awards for financial and business journalism to cover personal finance, data journalism, news from the nations and regions, as well as audio and video.
There has been no shortage of stories and big themes to write about in 2024: the technology arms race between the US and China, the shift in central bank monetary policy toward lower interest rates, explosive AI valuations and, closer to home, the first Budget of the new(ish) Labour government.
This year, the Wincott Foundation judges will be looking for journalism which captures the drama and importance of the major stories.
They are looking for fine writing and inventive story-telling in all formats, from news reporting, long(er) form analysis, TV and audio broadcasting as well as data journalism.
