The Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival is delighted to invite Independent filmmakers, graduate students and students in the last year to submit their recent films to the Experimental Film & Video Competition.
The Experimental Film & Video Competition focuses on young artists, students and recent graduates of the varied academies in the world, whose work is based on the spectrum between fine art and cinema.
The mission is to allow young experimental filmmakers to present their recent works – filmmakers who are not afraid to challenge the traditional cinema while formulating new, original and daring avant-garde cinematic ways of expression.
Prize Information
- The selected project will receive a monetary prize (5,000 NIS).
Location
- The festival will take place from June 16th – 22nd, 2024 in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel.
Eligibility Criteria
- The festival accepts Experimental Independent films from the different fields of Visual and Plastic Arts, Cinema, Photography, Animation and Digital Media.
- The festival accepts Experimental Student films of students in their last year of studies or ones who graduated in the past 5 years.
- Each creator can submit up to 2 films, each up to 30 minutes in length.
- Films submitted must have been completed during the years 2023-2024.
- Films must include embedded English subtitles, including English-speaking films.
- Films submitted in the past cannot be submitted again.
- Image
- 2k & 4k DCP are both accepted, but 4k DCP will be screened as 2K.
- 24 fps & 25 fps & 30 fps DCP are all accepted.
- Audio Channel
- 2.0 Channel tracks (stereo) or 5.1 Channel tracks (Surround).
- 5.1 Channel DCPs are preferred.
