The Wildlife Clubs of Kenya is pleased to announce the annual national competition to empower youth and communities to proactively engage in wildlife and environmental conservation.
Categories
- Artwork category
- Interpret the theme “Combat Climate Change, Restore Nature for Posterity” in art.
- Photography category
- Capture a unique scenario(s) that explains climate change and its effects to humanity and wildlife
- Essay category
- Upper Primary
- Write an essay on the causes of climate change and how you together with your school mates can help to reduce its effects
- Junior Secondary
- Write a poem entitled; “Echoes of a warming world: A Poetic Journey through Climate Change”
- Secondary School
- Climate change is a critical global issue affecting the planet and its inhabitants.
- Write an essay explaining what climate change is, its causes, impacts, and what actions individuals and communities can take to address it.
- Tertiary Institutions
- “Discuss the role of individual responsibility versus governmental action in addressing climate change. In your essay, analyze the effectiveness of both approaches and provide recommendations for a comprehensive strategy to combat climate change in the 21st century.”
- Upper Primary
Eligibility Criteria
- The photography category is open to ages 9-25 years.
- Use any art media for Artwork, minimum size A3
- You are free to submit your entries in any of the categories
- Each entry must have the official student’s name, class, full name of the school and county, a valid email of the school or the teacher and a telephone number.
