As part of the Local Artistic Education Contract (CLEA), the agglomeration community of Lens-Liévin and its partners are launching a call for applications aimed at journalists with a view to a residency-mission for the purposes of education in media, information and freedom of expression.
Driven by the desire to reduce inequalities in access to art and culture by setting an ambitious objective of generalizing artistic and cultural education for the benefit of children, adolescents and young adults in its territory and by thus contributing to the creation of their artistic and cultural education path, the Lens-Liévin urban community and its partners offer a mission-residency intended for a journalist for the purposes of media education, information and freedom of expression.
Principle of this call
- The mission-residency which is the subject of this call for applications will be awarded to a journalist keen to encourage residents, particularly young people, to have a better perception of the issues linked to information and freedom of expression within their structures. However, intergenerational work can take place, and is even encouraged depending on the participants’ projects. This residency will be held during artist residencies. Collaborative work can be done between the journalist and the artists.
Funding Information
- Regarding remuneration, the allowance for a residence for mission is set at 12,000 euros net (allowance calculated on the basis of 3,000 euros net per month). It is specified here that the total employer cost for the duration of the residency cannot in any case exceed 24,000 euros (cost adjusted according to the status of journalists.
Eligibility Criteria
- This call for applications is open to journalists, French or foreign, who have mastered the use of the French language (oral and written).
- The 2024/2025 mission residence is primarily aimed at 6–25-year-olds: children, adolescents and young adults in training; young people practicing their leisure activities in the intercommunity territory.
