Deadline: 17 November 2024
Applications are open for the German-Latin American Programme to foster relations between Germany and Latin America.
Talented journalists from Germany and Latin America will have the opportunity to work in another country for two months: firstly as short-term correspondents for their home editorial offices, and secondly as guest editors for a medium in Germany or Latin America.
The IJP scholarship is intended to give journalists from Germany and Latin America the opportunity to deepen their existing knowledge and gain new experience. During their two-month work stay, they should follow current developments in the country and learn to better assess backgrounds. Also very important: gain an impression of journalism in the host country. The program does not end after the two months: a lively alumni network aims to consolidate long-term personal and professional contacts between Germany and Latin America.
The Programme offers young journalists from Latin America the opportunity to work as correspondents for two months in Berlin. German journalists, on the other hand, are given the opportunity to work in a Latin American country for the same period of time.
