Applications are now open for the GreenLens Photo Competition and Virtual Eco-Exhibition.
GreenLens is a project launched by a group of environmental enthusiasts from ASEAN and supported by the U.S. Department of State and the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI).
The project aims to enhance social-environmental awareness among ASEAN youths through a photo competition running from March 4, 2024, to April 7, 2024. This will be followed by a virtual eco-exhibition where participants will showcase their submissions. Participants are invited to submit original photos along with narratives addressing environmental challenges with a specific focus on the theme of Climate Change.

- Amplify environmental awareness beyond regional borders
- Foster community engagement through interactive virtual eco-exhibition.
Two Phases of Project
- Phase 1: Photo Competition
- Empower ASEAN youths to submit original photos accompanied by narratives addressing environmental challenges
- Phase 2: Virtual Eco-Exhibition
- Showcases all submitted entries, digital space to amplify impactful eco-narratives (Challenges and Solutions) of ASEAN youths
Participant Benefits
- Total prizes amounting to USD 1,000.00
- 1st Prize: USD 250 (1 winner)
- 2nd Prize: USD 150 (1 winner)
- 3rd Prize: USD 100 (1 winner)
- Honorable Mentions: USD 50 each (10 winners)
- Receive a certificate of completion and acknowledgement of contribution to the project
- Enhance professional skills such as design, photography, and networking through the competition for young environmental photo enthusiasts
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to individuals of any ASEAN nationality (including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste) and currently based in an ASEAN country or Timor-Leste during the period of competition.
- Participants must be 25 years old (born in 1999) or younger. (A copy of ID will be required for shortlisted participants)
