Entries are now open for the Singapore Shorts, an annual showcase organised by the Asian Film Archive that celebrates the boldness and diversity of Singapore short films.
The programme will feature a broad range of new works chosen by an esteemed selection panel. There will be online discussions with the filmmakers, critical writings, as well as a special guest curated programme.
Screenings will be held at the Oldham Theatre in August 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
- Films must be made by a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Films made by non-Singaporeans must be shot exclusively in Singapore.
- The maximum duration is 30 minutes including opening title and ending credits.
- All films must be produced between 2023 and 2024.
- There are no premiere requirements for submission eligibility. Submissions made to other film events (within or outside Singapore) are eligible for participation.
- Films will be selected by a panel composed of individuals from various film, art, and media-related backgrounds.
- Only applicants of selected films will be notified.
- Only submissions via online preview links will be accepted. No physical media submissions will be accepted.
