DW Akademie is seeking proposals for the consulting services on the development and implementation of a communication strategy in the areas of media and information literacy and environmental journalism.
Consulting services are to be provided within the department’s planned projects in specific subject areas, with a focus on MIL and the environment. The aim is to develop or improve communication strategies with the partners – these are local organizations in Latin America with which the department works. The partners should be supported in their communication efforts.
DW Akademie is active in seven countries in Latin America – in addition to the focus countries (Mexico, Bolivia and Colombia), also in Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala and El Salvador.
The services would be provided across locations and departments. The location for the provision of the services can be chosen arbitrarily. However, people are expected to go on business trips, especially to Germany and Latin America.
Period of service provision
- The service contract is scheduled to start from February 1st, 2024 to December 31st, 2025.
- 276 service days are scheduled for the provision of the service. On average, a performance day should last around eight hours.
Eligibility Criteria
- University degree, preferably in the field of journalism and/or communications.
- At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in journalism
- extensive knowledge in the areas of journalism and the environment (climate change) and media and information literacy (articles and publications as evidence)
- Communication in Spanish (native speaker level), German (business fluent) and English (business fluent)
- Demonstrated experience working in culturally diverse and sensitive contexts
- Experience in international cooperation projects.
