The Youth Eco Film Contest is a platform for high school students to use the power of film to drive change and inspire action on climate issues. It’s a celebration of young voices and commitment to preserving the natural resources.
Themes
- Explore pro-climate projects and actions in Idaho. Topics can include but are not restricted to:
- Recycling
- Circular Economy
- Tackling Food Waste
- Renewable Energy (solar, wind, geothermal)
- Whole Food Plant-Based DietRegenerative Agriculture
- Businesses with Solar/Wind Power
- Transitioning to Electric Vehicles
- Community SolarInnovative Electricity Storage Solutions
- Brownfields to Bright Fields
Prize Information
- 1st Place $1,000
- 2nd Place $750, 3rd Place $500
- Recognition at annual Rotary District 5400 conference and other Earth Day events across the state
- The chance to make a real impact
Who can apply?
- Students age range 14 to 19 and currently in grades 9-12.
Submission Criteria
- Local climate solution theme
- Video length: 3 to 4 minutes
- Format: YouTube or Vimeo
- Must be original work
- Science based
