CFAs: Local Transformation Projects to support Independent Media 2025

Local Transition Projects (LTP) are projects to promote human rights and democracy, implemented by local NGOs in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Manila. The projects can take place in the Republic of the Philippines, Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and Republic of Nauru, and must be implemented by a local NGO.

Thematic Priorities

• Supporting civil society, including human rights defenders;
• Promoting the freedom of expression and information, including the freedom of the media;
• Promoting an equal and full political and public participation;
• Supporting institution-building in the area of the rule of law;
• Promoting equality and non-discrimination;
• Promoting human rights in employment and in the environmental context.

Funding Information

• Maximum length of your project is 7 months (assumption of duration from 1 March 2025 to 30 September 2025).
• Maximum budget is 500.000 CZK, minimum is 100.000 CZK.

Application Requirements

• The proposals must contain:
  • A completed Identification Form with a stamp and signature,
  • A copy of a document proving the Applicant’s legal capacity (a document proving the organization submitting the proposal legally exists – e.g. document of incorporation, registration or establishment of the organization),
  • A copy of an authorization of the signed person to act on the Applicant’s behalf (a document proving that the person submitting the proposal can act on behalf of the organization – e.g. an authorization letter signed and stamped by the CEO or a Director of the Organization).
  • All documentation must be in English.
