The Global Shea Alliance (GSA) is seeking proposals from experienced filmmakers to create a compelling documentary for the Shea Business Empowerment Programme (SBEP).
The documentary will focus on the impact on the lives of the women shea collectors from SBEP in Northern Ghana, highlighting co-operatives’ experiences and the program’s transformative power.
Scope of WorkÂ
- Collaborate with the GSA team to develop a detailed plan for the documentary, including shooting locations, interview subjects and storyline
- Conduct filming, primarily in Northern Ghana, capturing the essence of shea parkland communities and the activities of the SBEP, other locations may include Accra
- Produce a high quality documentary of variable length, expected to be between 5 and 20 minutes.
- Incorporate interviews, footage of shea processing activities and testimonials from program participants to effectively convey the impact of the SBEP
- Ensure that the documentary aligns with the objectives and messaging of the GSA, highlighting the empowerment of women, sustainable shea production practices and economic development.
Deliverables
- High quality documentary film, meeting the specifications outlined
- Raw footage and other materials used in the production of the documentary
- Final edited version of the documentary in digital format.
