Funding Information
- The winner of each of the 14 categories will be awarded £500.
- An additional £500 will be awarded to the photography department where the winner of the Emerging Talent category studies.
- The overall winner will receive £2,500 worth of LCE vouchers.
Eligibility Criteria
- LCE Photographer of the Year 2025 is free to enter and is open to photographers of any skill level, excluding professionals, aged 18 or over. ‘Professional’ in this context means that photography is your primary source of income.
- The shortlisted entries will be contacted via email and invited to the awards ceremony to be held at The Photography & Video Show at Excel in London during March 2025.
- Employees or agents of London Camera Exchange, their families or other persons connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
- No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
- London Camera Exchange reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify or remove any entry that does not comply with the rules or the spirit of the awards, at any stage of the awards.
Application Requirements
- Participants may only submit a maximum of one entry per category.
- Images submitted to the LCE Photographer of the Year competition must be submitted in JPEG at a maximum size of 2,500px on its longest edge, with a colour profile attached.
- Images can be taken on any device capable of capturing a digital image of sufficient quality for entry. This includes images captured on smartphones, tablets and other digital devices.
- Images submitted to the LCE Photographer of the Year competition must be submitted in JPEG format. If shortlisted, entrants must be able to supply images as original JPEG or RAW files.
- All imagery MUST be the exclusive work of the submitting photographer and may not include any element that is the copyright of another.
- To enter the competition, you are required to sign up for competition and news updates from London Camera Exchange as well as opting in to receive additional communications from the headline sponsors. You can opt out of receiving these at any time.
