Deadline: 31 October 2023
Are you a budding photographer with a passion for animals? The Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries is excited to launch the very first photography competition, now OPEN for entries!
Theme
- The theme is farm animals in focus.
- There are many photography competitions themed around pets and wild animals, but they want to celebrate the lives, characters and emotions of these beautiful animals, often overlooked as simply a number or a source of food.
- Whether it’s an inquisitive cow in a field or the sad faces of sheep as they pass in a transport truck, they invite you to interpret the theme in any way you see fit.
What to Enter?
- They welcome entries from all ages and abilities, but photographs must be clear and a minimum of 1,000 pixels wide.
- Digital adjustments will be accepted however, these must be declared on the entry form and will be taken into account when judging the entry.
- A maximum of four entries may be entered per person.
- Submitted photographs must not be ‘winner’ photographs in any other photographic competition entered.
- Photographs will be rejected immediately if it appears they have been taken in such a way that any animal welfare laws or any other laws may have been breached or it appears that the photograph/s have been taken in an irresponsible way.
- Photos can be taken anywhere in the world. Please include details of location and species of animals (if known) when completing the entry form.
- Only photographs of farm animals are eligible.
- Photographs of wildlife or animals termed as ‘pets’ (dogs, cats etc.) may not be entered.
