Deadline: 22 March 2024
Do you lead an innovative business in a landlocked developing country (LLDC)? Do you have fresh views on how the private sector, government and the UN can work to seize opportunities for development? Do you want to share those views at a global UN conference? Register as a candidate to be a sponsored speaker on behalf of the UN-OHRLLS for the Private Sector Forum of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), to be convened in Kigali, Rwanda, on the 18th and 19th of June 2024.
The Private Sector Forum of LLDC3 will bring together businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, governments and UN agencies from across 32 landlocked developing countries, to articulate the views, ideas, perspectives and commitments of the private sector. This is a very special opportunity to share your knowledge, expertise and ambitions on a panel among global high-level speakers.
The Private Sector Forum at LLDC3 provides a once-in-a-decade opportunity to build transformative partnerships and mobilize long-term investment and finance in the 32 landlocked developing countries, which have a combined population of 570 million people, set to reach 1 billion by 2060.
The two-day PSF will feature a high-level opening dialogue, four thematic sessions, side-events and networking and exhibition areas with booths. The forum will provide a platform for direct interaction between company representatives and delegations from all United Nations countries, as well as United Nations agencies, investment promotion agencies, and other stakeholders, offering business and development networking opportunities and the chance to shape development policy.
