The Korean Cultural Center is looking for young and talented filmmakers who wish to express their creativity through cinematographic language. Apply now in the 2nd edition of the 2024 Short Film Contest.
Purpose
- The Short Film Competition of the Korean Cultural Center in Spain will be held in 2024 and has as the objective is to contribute to the dissemination of different aspects of Korean culture and promote interest in South Korea.
- South among Spanish directors. The contest is aimed at all Spanish citizens and constitutes a cultural exchange initiative between Korea and Spain.
Award Information
- Awards the jury will award the following prizes:
- 1st Prize
- Flight: Two round-trip tickets, from Madrid to Incheon (or Busan);
- Train: Two return tickets from Seoul to Busan, a city known for its film production. (optional)
- 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize
- Flight: A round trip ticket, from Madrid to Incheon (or Busan),
- Train: A round-trip ticket from Seoul to Busan, a city known for its film production. (optional)
- 1st Prize
Duration
- The duration of the short must be a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes (credits included).
Criteria
- The contest will accept short films of any genre (fiction, creative documentary, animation, experimental, etc.), as long as they contain at least 5 seconds of some relationship or reference Korean (theme, culture, places, objects, population).
- Works produced from January 2021 may be submitted.
- Short films that have not been originally produced in Spanish must be registered at the contest with subtitles in Spanish.
- The director must be a legal resident in Spain, have Spanish nationality and be over 18 years.
