The Goethe-Institut Cairo launches the Cultural Journalism Program in the provinces of Egypt to enhance the visibility of cultural events through more extensive coverage.
Participants expand their knowledge in the field of cultural journalism while participating in workshops.
Topics of the Workshop
- Introductory to culture journalism and ethics.
- Writing multimedia articles.
- Photo and video journalism.
- Review and analysis of artistic works.
What they offer?
- 4 workshops in the field of cultural journalism.
- Participants from outside Cairo will receive a limited transportation allowance for public transportation as well as accommodation in a hotel during the duration of the 4 workshops in Cairo.
- Mentorship
- An organized press trip to different cultural activities in Egypt including a limited transportation allowance for public transportation and accommodation in a hotel during the trip.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be journalists based in Egypt and have an experience of not less than two years.
- Applicants must show interest in cultural work in the provinces.
- Applicants must commit to attending the workshops and covering at least one cultural activity in one of the provinces in Egypt.
