Submissions are now open for the 8th edition of SeaShorts Film Festival.
The SeaShorts 2024 Program includes:
- SeaShorts Competition (for Southeast Asian Short Films),
- Malaysian Open Competition (for Malaysian Short Films and Malaysian Student Short Films).
- Non Competition Sections (for Southeast Asian Short Films, Malaysian Short Films and Malaysian Student Short Films)
Completion Period
- The short film submitted should be completed after June 2022, not any earlier.
Eligibility Criteria
- For SeaShorts Competition: Director must be Southeast Asian.
- For Malaysian Open Category: Director must be Malaysian.
- For Malaysian Student Short Film: Director must be a student in or from Malaysia during the production of the film.
- Southeast Asian countries (fulfilled by at least three of these criteria: filming location, language, main cast, main crew, or funding).
- Your submission will also be included in the programming consideration for the non-competitive sections.
- Individual technical awards such as for cinematography and performance may be awarded. For your work to be eligible for these sub-categories, the person responsible for the role must be from Southeast Asia.
- Film duration should not be more than 40 minutes, including credits.
