the8fest Small Gauge Film Festival is seeking small gauge film submissions of works that can not be projected due to bleaching, burying, chemical explosions etc.
They want your films that have been burned, torn, put through plants, juice, fruits, spliced in eccentric ways, etc. They want films that can only be shown through scanning, and cannot be projected analogue.
Eligibility Criteria
- They accept films from local as well as international filmmakers.
- They accept films that have been shot on Super8, 8mm, and 9.5 films.
- They do not accept films that have been created with another format (ex. 16mm mixed with Super8, Super8 mixed with digital).
- For this program, films will be shown online.
- They do not do geo-blocking, so please only submit if you are comfortable with your film being shown without geographical limits.
- Films must be unprojectable, and you must specify how. Just a short line. Tell them how your film fits in the program!
- Filmmakers must retain full copyright of their films (including soundtrack) in order to screen online at the8fest 2024.
