The Tibet TV’s ‘Living Culture Doc Forum’ calls for film projects capturing aspects of Tibetan cultural practices that are observed and seen in the present day.
The project seeks to introduce and document in detail the significance, symbolism, and the groundwork of social, religious, and traditional practices of Tibet, like the life-long prayer ceremonies, for instance.
The project aims to show the background of cultural ceremonies and practices that are otherwise not seen by the audience, presenting all aspects of a living culture that they experience and observe in their everyday lives.
Funding Information
- The selected filmmakers will receive a total grant of INR 2,50,000/- each in the beginning of their projects. (TDS included).
Eligibility Criteria
- The participating filmmakers should possess Green Book and should have made their up-to-date Green Book contribution.
- Applicants who have not received previous LCDF grants will be given special consideration.
- Equal gender representation will be prioritised among the grant recipients and subjects of the films. Women filmmakers are especially encouraged to apply.
- The filmmaker should be resident of the Tibetan settlements in India or Nepal.
- The participating filmmakers should produce one recommendation letter commenting on their previous work.
