The Ohio University is inviting applications for its Kiplinger Fellowship which will focus on artificial intelligence.
They will explore how it can be used appropriately for journalism and its impact on reporting, writing, data journalism and sourcing. Areas of focus will include: ethics and public trust, writing and editing with AI, AI and data, AI for audio and imaging, fake spotting AI images and much more.
The fellowship will be held Sunday, March 23 to Friday, March 28 and be held at Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio.
Eligibility CriteriaÂ
- If you are a print, broadcast or online journalist with five or more years of experience (here or abroad), you are eligible to become a Kiplinger Fellow.
- If you participated in the Kiplinger Fellowship program prior to 2019 (when it changed its focus from social media and digital tools), you may apply.
- Freelance work for established media organizations can definitely be applied to the years of work requirement.
- Applicants need to have a command of spoken and written English to benefit from the fellowship.
- Your three work samples must be in English as well. If your work as a journalist requires that you write in another language other than English, you must provide originals and English translations.
