Deadline: 24 May 2024
Applications are now open for the Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship to empower the next generation of journalists through mentorship, resources, and grants to investigate and report on the pressing issues of the time.
The purpose of the Novak program is to allow journalists to complete serious writing and reporting projects they would otherwise be unable to undertake. Government, culture, economics, religion, science, politics, education, law-enforcement, national security and foreign affairs are among the appropriate fields for Novak Fellowship projects.
The Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship Program supports a rising generation of serious and enterprising journalists. This prestigious, year-long program allows writers early in their careers to pursue projects they otherwise would be unable to research and report.
Fellowship proposals should focus on journalism broadly supportive of a free society and reporting on interesting, newsworthy subjects that deserve deeper investigation. Proposed projects should also involve significant reporting components: interviewing sources, travel, attendance at newsworthy events, etc.
