The Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) is inviting applications for the Media Safety Reporting Fellowship.
The fellowship program aims to promote freedom of expression by supporting media professionals to produce in-depth investigative stories about media safety and impunity in crimes against journalists.
The fellowship will include the following:
- A stipend for the production of stories.
- Participation in two capacity-building workshops.
- Editorial and technical support in the production of six investigative stories.
- Selected participants will work under the supervision of a senior journalist who will act as fellowship editor during the course of the fellowship. During the fellowship program, each fellow will be expected to produce six stories for publication or broadcast in national media organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Journalists with experience of at least three years and a commitment to promoting the safety of journalists are encouraged to apply.
- Women journalists, journalists from vulnerable communities, and journalists from all parts of the country, including Balochistan, Newly Merged Tribal Districts/former FATA districts, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, are encouraged to apply.
- Preference will be given to fellows who will commit to investigating impunity for specific cases of journalists killed or injured.
