The African Conference on Investigative Journalism (AIJC) is offering a limited number of scholarships to participate in the continent’s three-day celebration of investigative journalism. This year, the conference will take place from Monday November 20 to Wednesday November 22, 2023 in Johannesburg.

Cost Covered
- The scholarship covers flights to Johannesburg, airport transfers, single room accommodation, shuttles to the conference site, meals and conference fees.
- It does not cover home country transportation, visa fees, travel/medical insurance, personal transportation within South Africa and hotel incidentals.
Criteria
- The conference will be in English and French.
- Fellowships are open to journalists with a proven track record in investigative journalism and at least three years’ experience.
- Fellows will be asked to produce at least one piece of content arising out of the conference.
- You will require a passport valid for a minimum of six months after the conference and with at least one clean page and would need to be available to travel.
