Submissions open for BETD Media Fellowship Program

For several years, the Federal Foreign Office, the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the German Renewable Energy Federation have been inviting international journalists to report on the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD).

They invite you to be part of BETD 2025 and report on the discussions and innovative energy solutions. They offer you the unique opportunity to join them in Berlin and look behind the scenes of the global energy transition.

Eligibility Criteria

• Young journalists from around the world have the chance to come to Berlin to gain exclusive access to the conference, engage with high-level stakeholders from science, politics, industry, and civil society, and connect with other BETD Media Fellows.

Application Requirements

• Please upload the following documents below:
  • A motivation letter explaining why you would like to participate in the BETD media fellowship program (200 to 300 words).
  • A comprehensive CV containing your personal information and indicating your experience and knowledge on energy related topics.
  • Two samples (in one PDF file) of your journalistic work in English language. A translation is also accepted.
