The SheLeads Media Fellowship is set to commence in March 2024 and aims to provide participants with valuable skills, insights, and networking opportunities essential for their professional growth. With a strong focus on mentorship and coaching, this program seeks to contribute to the development of the next generation of female newsroom journalists.

Who are they looking for?
- They are seeking enthusiastic and passionate young female journalists with a background in newsroom journalism.
Where you are based?
- They are targeting female journalists from the East African region specifically; Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda
- They welcome persons from diverse backgrounds, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive attitude to apply!
Eligibility Criteria
- If you have any of the following qualities below you qualify for the fellowship:
- Background in media with up to 3 years’ experience,
- Media entrepreneur (digital or traditional media),
- Broadcast journalism,
- Print journalism,
- Trade journalism (health, climate etc.),
- Political journalism,
- Other forms of communication including moderation, strategic communications, NGO comms are also considered.
