The Joan Ganz Cooney Center’s Well-Being by Design Fellowship is a professional development program for designers and producers of interactive kids’ technology and media.
The goal of the program is to develop a supportive ecosystem that encourages tech and media creators to design with children’s best interests in mind, ultimately fostering a safer, more engaging, and more enriching digital environment for kids. They are thrilled to invite mid-career professionals who work in kids’ interactive tech and media to join them for the Well-Being by Design Fellowship.
Cost Covered
- Participants will be reimbursed up to One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500) for travel and approved documented expenses in connection with the in-person Sessions. All other costs associated with Participant’s participation in the Program and attendance at the Sessions will be the responsibility of each Participant. The Sessions themselves will be offered to the Participants free of charge.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Program is open only to individuals (each a “Candidate(s)” and/or referred to herein as “you” or “yours”) who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry; and who
- are citizens of the United States
- are a permanent resident of the United States; and
- are mid-career (having spent at least 5 years in media or technology design/development); and
- have submitted a completed Application (as further defined below) by the official deadline.
