With the Media Start funding from the Vienna Media Initiative, Wirtschaftsagentur Wien support media founders who realize economically sustainable offerings by deepening their business and journalistic know-how.
With the Media Start funding from the Vienna Media Initiative, they support self-employed journalists and small media companies. You can have them support costs for training and further education, training and consulting, internal personnel costs and travel costs.
Funding Information
- You can receive a maximum of 10,000 euros per project. Depending on the funding, there are different maximum amounts.
- Minimum project size: 2,000 euros
- Maximum project duration: 1.5 years
What is funded?
- The Media Start funding from the Vienna Media Initiative supports costs for education and training, training and advice, internal personnel costs and travel costs. At least 50% of the costs must be accounted for by external services (training and further education, consulting, know-how transfer).
Eligibility Criteria
- The Vienna Media Initiative’s Media Start funding supports small media companies and associations as well as self-employed journalists. A particular focus is on the journalistic quality and novelty of your media format.
