You can now submit applications to protect your production against unforeseen pandemic damage via the Pandemic Film Fund Guarantee Scheme.
As a production company, you want to guarantee the continuity of your audiovisual productions as best as possible. This continuity can be jeopardized in the event of a pandemic. That is why the Netherlands Film Fund and Culture + Entrepreneurship have two guarantee schemes against unforeseen pandemic damage in the production of films, series, documentaries and other audiovisual productions.
For audiovisual productions from production companies and media companies that do not fall under the Pandemic Film Fund Guarantee Scheme or another scheme, there is the Implementation Scheme Pandemic Guarantee Fund Audiovisual Productions Culture + Entrepreneurship. To participate in this scheme, you can contact Culture + Entrepreneurship.
You will receive financial compensation if there are unforeseen additional costs for your audiovisual production due to a pandemic or related government measures. These are unforeseen and uninsurable costs related to production: during the preparation of the recordings, during the recordings themselves and/or during (post)production. For example, if shooting days cannot go ahead because the director or lead actor has to isolate during the recordings due to an infection.
Funding Information
- Majority film production, documentary and drama, documentary and animation series
- The contribution amounts to a maximum of 25% of the production costs approved by the Film Fund (cost groups 1200 to 5500) with a target amount of a maximum of €1,000,000 per project.
- Minority co-production (film production)
- The contribution amounts to a maximum of 25% of the Dutch production costs approved by the Film Fund (cost groups 1200 to 5500) with a target amount of a maximum of €1,000,000 per project. In the case of international co-productions, collaborating national film funds may decide to jointly cover all production costs on the basis of their share of the financing.
Eligibility Criteria
- Independent production companies of Dutch film productions and minority co-productions, television documentaries or drama, animation or documentary series that receive a production contribution from the Netherlands Film Fund, CoBO and/or NPO/NPO Fund.
