Deadline: 26 June 2024
Chelsea FC and Chelsea Foundation, in collaboration with VERSUS, are bringing back the Blue Creator Fund to empower the next generation of creators.
Five UK-based winners from underrepresented backgrounds will be awarded funding for their creative projects. All artistry is welcome: whether you are a musician, content creator, poet or playwright, Chelsea and VERSUS want you to bring the story of Chelsea and the community to light.
Purpose
- The Blue Creator Fund was created to disrupt the state of play, redefine the status quo and diversify football off the pitch.
- Chelsea is a hub for creativity. But the playing field is not level for creatives: in London, the odds of working in the creative industry are halved for those from minority backgrounds.
- The BCF was established as part of Chelsea’s No to Hate campaign, which works to break down barriers to change the culture of the game.
Funding Information
- Each winner will get £20,000 to share their creativity with the world, as well as across Chelsea and VERSUS’ platforms.
- Working closely with Chelsea and VERSUS, winners will have insider access to the world of football to make their projects truly special.
- Winners will also have the unparalleled opportunity to display their work in a weekend exhibition at the iconic Saatchi Gallery in March 2025, attended by both football and London’s leading creatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Whether you’re a rapper, fashion stylist, photographer or designer: if you’re aged 18-30; UK based; and come from an underrepresented background, apply below for the chance to tell your story to the world.
