The Netherlands Film Fund is accepting submissions for the Realization Research & Experiment Scheme.
Realization of a (majoritarian) Dutch short or long film that is investigative and/or groundbreaking within the various genres, or an experimental or artistic film.
Contribution
- From €50,000 to a maximum of 100,000 euros. For projects of exceptionally high quality, the board may decide to grant a higher contribution.
- The Fund contribution amounts to a maximum of 85% of the production budget. It is possible to request an earmarked additional contribution of €5,000 for distribution.
Who is eligible?
- A production company (a legal entity, i.e. not a sole proprietorship or partnership) that has been established in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a member state of the EU, EEA or Switzerland for at least two years and produces and exploits films and other audiovisual productions on a continuous basis.
- The production company is represented by a producer who, as a majority producer, has been primarily responsible for the realization and release of at least one free, non-commissioned film production in the Netherlands.
- Exception:
- If the intended Film Fund contribution for realization is lower than € 50,000, provided that the applicant has sufficient demonstrable production experience in the field of research & experimentation in the opinion of the board.
