The U.S. Embassy in Bangkok is seeking to contract a local Thailand-based documentary filmmaker or production company to produce a short documentary film to highlight community-centered stories about the value and impact of the AFCP-supported Wat Chaiwatthanaram project in Ayutthaya, which is Thailand’s largest AFCP cultural heritage conservation site.
Funding Information
- A proposed budget of no more than US$10,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in Thailand.
- Applicants should reside in Thailand.
- Applicants should have previous storytelling experience through video/film.
- Present a concept note for a 10 to 20 minutes film.
Requirements
- The film requirements include:
- Must be between 10 – 20 minutes in length in,
- Must be filmed in full resolution digital format,
- Must include the stories of 8-10 community members impacted by the U.S. Embassy restoration and conservation work at Wat Chaiwatthanaram in Ayutthaya,
- Must be produced by a local Thailand-based documentary filmmaker or a production company,
- Selected filmmaker must have experience with storytelling and capturing community narratives via video/film.
