Deadline: 16 September 2024
The Netherlands Film Fund is offering contributions to develop special educational projects for children and pupils who are less well connected to the current film education offer.
Since the establishment of regional film education hubs, the demand of schools and the supply of film education are increasingly better aligned. However, sometimes extra effort is needed from other parties to reach certain target groups that need special or adapted projects. Think of toddlers, preschoolers, pupils in practical education, young newcomers or, for example, deaf, hearing-impaired or visually impaired children.
The aim of this scheme is to give these children the opportunity to come into contact with film in a more in-depth way through educational projects specially developed for them. In this way, they – the future audience of (Dutch) film – get the chance to experience the power and beauty of film: they develop a critical view of films and learn to give meaning to the films they see and make during the projects.
