Ardán and Galway City of Film are delighted to announce the opening of applications for the Misléor Short Documentary Grant for emerging filmmakers from the Traveller community.
The Misleór Short Documentary Grant is part of the 2024 Galway City of Film programme and is supported by Misleór Festival, Galway Traveller Movement, Ardán, Galway City of Film, Galway City Arts Office, Galway County Arts Office, Screen Ireland, and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
This is the fourth year of the funding and mentorship scheme.
Funding Information
- There is 3,000€ in funding available to the successful applicant, as well as mentorship while producing a short documentary. The short documentary will then premiere at the Misleór Festival of Nomadic Cultures this September.
Who can apply?
- Applicants must be aged 18+ and be based in County Galway OR telling a story connected to County Galway.
