Deadline: 7 October 2024
The Netherlands Film Fund is inviting applications for slate funding that offers two-year financial support to independently operating producers for the development of 4 to 6 scripts for feature films, long animated films and/or long documentaries for a diverse audience.
With slate funding, the Film Fund offers the opportunity to finance the development of multiple (film) productions at once over a period of two years.
The two-year contribution enables the production company to reduce certain risks and increases the capacity to attract and retain talent. The contribution also ensures continuity, which allows for sustainable investment in the collaboration between the screenwriters, directors and producer. Slate funding stimulates cultural entrepreneurship and strengthens the competitive position of the production company.
The slate creates space on both a creative and financial level for the development of a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 scenario plans for feature films, long animated films and/or long documentaries for a diverse audience. In addition, the contribution can be used for research or the first development phase of plans in other categories, such as high-end series, short (animated) films or immersive productions. The slate also offers opportunities to strengthen the production company with targeted expertise.
