The Netherlands Film Fund’s Teledoc Campus is open to quality documentaries with a cinematographic and unconventional character.
Teams of young directors and producers are given the opportunity to gain experience within Teledoc Campus, after which the leap to full-fledged, long productions can be made. Within the same frameworks – television and cinema – in which they will later operate, these makers are now given the opportunity to develop their talents.
Teledoc Campus is a collaborative project between NPO, CoBO, the NPO Fund and the Film Fund for the development of documentary talent in the Netherlands and is part of Selective Funding.
Funding Information
- The contribution of the collaborating parties amounts to:
- Maximum €7,500 for research, development and test recordings
- Maximum €750 for an external coach for development
- Maximum €65,000 for realization
Who is eligible?
- Only film plans submitted by an independent documentary producer will be considered. Preference will also be given to beginning producers who have completed a relevant education for this. The director and the producer may not be the same person.
- Film plans can be submitted by (independent) documentary makers residing in the Kingdom of the Netherlands who:
- have made at least one (short) documentary in which their talent and ambition are visible and which has also been broadcast on national or regional television, or has been shown at a national festival or has had cinema circulation;
- have completed an audiovisual training course in which a (short) documentary was produced; or
- completed another course of study, during which a (short) documentary was produced.
- In all cases, a filmography of a maximum of three (short) documentaries applies to the director.
- Directors are not affiliated with a broadcaster and can submit a proposal together with a producer they would like to work with.
- The director can be involved in a maximum of one Teledoc Campus at a time and preferably does not have a production in another trajectory (for example Wildcard).
- A producer can in principle produce a maximum of two Teledoc Campuses (realization) and develop two at the same time.
