The National Institute for Health Care Management Foundation (NIHCM) is offering Journalism Grants to support health reporting and education projects that inform public and policymaker awareness about health issues in ways that improve health and health care.
Support can be used for reporting, writing, research, data visualizations, documentary promotion (but not full production costs).
Topics
- They have a particular interest in advancing policymaker and public understanding of issues related to affordability and how increasing costs impact quality and access.
- In addition, they are interested in a range of important topics related to improving health care.
Funding Information
- As part of the long-standing commitment to supporting the work of journalists covering health, NIHCM Foundation provides up to $500,000 in grants for reporting and journalism education projects each year.
Who can apply?
- They welcome applications from journalists from national and local print, digital, and broadcast outlets, both nonprofit and for-profit news organizations, as well as freelancers.
- They also welcome applications from universities, nonprofits and documentary filmmakers.
