Applications are now open for the small grants scheme, launched within “Justice Reforms Monitoring in Armenia” project, to stimulate the development of a module and/or educational program (bachelors or masters) on Access to Justice.
The consortium of Netherlands Helsinki Committee (NHC), Penal Reform International (PRI), Social Justice (SJ) NGO and Civil Society Institute (CSI) NGO has launched a “Justice Reforms Monitoring in Armenia” (JUREMONIA) project with the financial support of the European Union.
The aim of this call for proposals is to engage Armenian academic institutions and stimulate the development of a module on Access to Justice through inclusion in existing or developing new bachelors or master programs. This will have an impact on the work experience of related professionals who deal with human rights and Justice field, such as lawyers, psychologists, social workers, sociologists.
It is expected from this call to receive proposals on following directions:
- A new developed master’s or bachelor’s program(s) with the respective modules
- Developed new modules to be included in the existing educational program(s) for students
- Encourage students to write studies (bachelor/master/PhD thesis) on topics related to Access to Justice
Funding Information
- Academies, Institutions or Universities will be supported up to the 15000 EUR maximum of the grant.
- Proposed project duration is for 12 to 18 months.
Ineligible
- The following activities and expenditures are not eligible under this call:
- Infrastructure projects (constructing roads, bridges, buildings, etc.)
- Purchase of land or property
- Political or religious activities
- Environmentally harmful projects
- Retrospective activities (costs related to activities implemented prior to signing the grant agreement)
Eligibility Criteria
- This call for proposals is open to Academic institutions and Universities established in Armenia. Collaboration with the national as well as with universities out of Armenia is encouraged. Accredited higher education institutions (academies, universities, institutes) implementing educational programs in Law, Psychology, Social work and sociology can apply. Public administration institutions (with the exception of the institutions mentioned above), state agencies, local or regional authorities, political parties or organizations affiliated with political parties are not eligible for this call.
