Deadline: 1 November 2024
The UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts Karlsruhe and the Hoepfner Stiftung are seeking applications for its Media Art Scholarship.
The call for applications is aimed at media artists who live and work in Karlsruhe and the region. Persons who are enrolled at a university at the start of the scholarship (by March 1, 2025) or are in a training programme are excluded. We are looking for innovative, cooperative and interdisciplinary ideas for media art projects – preferably in collaboration with other media art cities or artists from the UNESCO Creative Cities network – that will be exhibited at studio hö during the scholarship period.
The three exhibitions for 2025 can be developed as solo exhibitions or as an overall concept. One of the exhibitions must be shown as part of the “Media Art Is Here!” festival and should deal with the local media art scene.

Events as part of the exhibitions must be coordinated in advance with the Hoepfner Foundation and the Cultural Office. Other events organized by the artists, such as talks and workshops as part of the exhibitions, are welcome.
