ADAGP is inviting firstly, a photographer to design a work with an artist from another visual arts discipline, and secondly, to render it in the form of a book accompanied by a publisher.
In order to contribute to the emergence of works between different disciplines, the ADAGP Society of Authors in Graphic and Plastic Arts and Freelens recognized association of Public Utility which promotes photography in all its forms have joined forces in 2021 to create the Transverse scholarship.
Funding Information
- A scholarship of €12,000 will be awarded in 2024 and will be distributed as follows:
- €7,000 to the winning duo (photographer and visual arts artist);
- €5,000 to the publisher.
For what type of work?
- The work must be a joint creation in the field of photography with another visual arts discipline that is part of the ADAGP repertoire;
- The work must be an original creation and must be produced within the year following the award of the grant;
- The restitution of the work will take the form of a book published no later than two years following the award of the grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- A duo composed of a photographer and a visual arts artist from the French performing arts (working or residing in France for at least 5 years or of French nationality living abroad). The duo can be accompanied by an editor;
- The duo must have a professional artistic background (exhibitions, publications, participation in fairs or festivals, etc.)
