This ten-day, intensive course in Prague, Czech Republic offers a unique opportunity to learn about the latest methods and trends in media through seminars, workshops, and practical exercises.
This journalism program is led by top professionals from renowned global media outlets and agencies including CNN, The New Yorker, Bloomberg, Reuters, the Associated Press, and others.
What does the scholarship include?
- Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from the Foundation to attend Journey. The scholarship covers accommodation and food for the duration of the program, travel costs to Prague, transport to and from the accommodation upon arrival and departure, and all study materials during the course.

- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in modern journalism;
- Practical experience creating longer stories with visual components;
- Enhanced knowledge of journalistic ethics, together with a solid understanding of the basic principles of journalism;
- The ability to report from the field in real time and in a foreign country, and to create written and audiovisual reports;
- Experience working under the guidance of experienced journalists and editors;
- The skills to collect and analyze data in an organized and timely manner, as well as to identify, develop, and utilize resources effectively;
- Experience adhering to strict ethical standards;
- Investigative techniques and guidance on how to compile a report;
- Practice verifying the authenticity of information shared on social media.
What do they expect?
- Participants will be actively engaged in all of the program’s workshops and exercises. They will submit an individual journalism project to be produced under the guidance of a Journey mentor.
- The length of the final project should be between 800 and 1,000 words.

Who is the program intended for?
- Journalism and media students who have completed at least two semesters of university/college and have a serious interest in working in the journalism field.
- Students from other disciplines who have experience with journalism or demonstrate a strong motivation to become journalists.
- Fluency in English is a program requirement.
