The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has launched applications for Migration Reporting Training Program to promote evidence-based discourse and reporting on migration.
Migration is one of the current news topics in Thai society. Currently, there are more than 3 million migrant workers working and living in Thailand. Although this is an issue that is often widely discussed, but reporting on this issue still has gaps due to incomplete information.
This gap fuels negative stereotypes towards migrants. Until it leads to discrimination and prejudice against these groups of people. As a result, it is more difficult for them to access services and social rights. Promoting creative reporting on migration requires cooperation from many sectors.
