Art Criticism is pleased to announce an open call for emerging writers to learn more about publishers and the Baltic-Nordic art field, cultural context, and development.
This open call is for writers, art critics, and cultural journalists wishing to participate in the Arts and Culture Magazine Publishers Forum research trip to Tallinn and Helsinki in late October or early November 2024.
The selected candidate should have a strong ambition to expand their working geography to span the Baltic-Nordic region.
After the trip, the chosen candidate is expected to work in close collaboration with members of the network to write at least one article related to their interests and knowledge gained during the research trip. The article will be published in one or more ACMPF magazines; the fee will be negotiated with the publisher(s).
Funding Information
- The network will cover the costs of travel and accommodation, and meals will be provided during the activities. Additionally, the selected writer will receive a EUR 500 participation grant.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants based in the Nordic and/or Baltic countries (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Åland) are eligible to apply.
- The chosen writer should be available for the full duration of the trip (4 to 5 days) to Tallinn and Helsinki in late October or early November 2024.
