The Talk to Eric Limited is seeking applications for the Rugby Photographer of the Year Competition that celebrates the very best of rugby photography, both amateur and professional from across the globe, culminating in an exhibition at the World Rugby Museum at Twickenham.
Categories
- Young Photographer of the Year
- Open to photographers aged seventeen years and under.
- Portrait Photographer of the Year
- An image of any individual involved in the game: player, coach, volunteer or spectator.
- Action Photographer of the Year
- A photograph that brings to life the split-second moments that embody the sport.
- The Spirit of Rugby
- An image from beyond the eighty minutes that reflects the spirit of the game.
- Landscape Photographer of the Year
- A picture that is as much about the setting as the game itself that gives a sense of place.
- Portfolio Photographer of the Year
- A collection of up to ten images from different matches in the same season, reflecting a body of work.
Prize Information
- A cash prize of ÂŁ1,000 will be awarded to the overall Grand Prix winner of Rugby Photographer of the Year with Canterbury.
- In addition, they will receive a full set of bespoke Canterbury teamwear to be donated to a team of their choice.
- All category winners will also feature in a special edition of Rugby Journal. Additional prizes may be provided by sponsors, to be confirmed at a later date.
Conditions
- The Competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over on the Closing Date except individuals (and their partners and family) involved in its organisation or judging or employees of the Owners or any official partners, supporters, or sponsors of the Competition.
- The Young Photographer category is open to anyone aged 17 or under on the Closing Date except individuals (and their partners and family) involved in its organisation or judging or employees of the Owners or any official partners, supporters, or sponsors of the Competition.
- By entering the Competition, the entrant agrees to maintain the highest standards in all matters relating to the Competition and not to do or say anything that does or might damage the reputation of the Owners, the Competition, the other entrants, or the official partners, supporters, or sponsors of the Competition, or the Exhibition.
- Black and white images can be entered into all categories
- Entrants are not permitted to submit images that:
- Have been awarded any prize, recommendation or other award in any international competition after 1st January 2023.
